Indigo Is Here to Help Keep Your Food Production Lines Running

Indigo removes stubborn residue from mixers, ovens, molds, and processing equipment without adding water or chemical cleaning residue, works inside your plant's food-safety and contractor procedures, and schedules around production: on nights, weekends, or even holidays.

  1. Reason #1

    Cleans Equipment & Motors

Safely strips buildup from complex machinery, bearings, and greased tracks. Because it is completely moisture-free, it can also be used on select motors, electrical panels, or bus ducts.

  2. Reason #2

    FDA and USDA Compliant

Uses food-grade carbon dioxide to remove stubborn food residues and buildup without chemical solvents or harsh cleaning products, aligning seamlessly with strict facility standards.

  3. Reason #3

    Ceilings and Wall Cleaning

Safely removes combustible dust, food residue, and environmental buildup from walls and ceilings. Because dry ice blasting is completely moisture-free, it eliminates the risks associated with water around lighting and electrical systems—leaving behind zero secondary media or chemical residue to clean up.

What Indigo can do

Water-free residue removal inside food plants

Using a variety of different Cold Jet dry ice blasting machines, and proprietary and OEM tooling, Indigo can tackle routine annual maintenance needs and specialty projects. Some examples of work Indigo has done include:

  • Candy Manufacturing Cooling Tube Cleaning

Dry ice blasting removed built up wax residue in multiple cooling tubes where confections are transported after creation on the way to wrapping machinery. The perforations were clogged with wax, high temp pressure washing failed to work effectively, and dry ice blasting cleaned them quickly and effectively.

  • Rooftop Ventilation Filters

Plant has multiple exhaust rooms on the roof, production oils and dust accumulate in the filter housings and the surrounding interiors. Water is not an option, and dry ice removed all the contaminations with cleanup taking a fraction of the time water removal would entail.

  • Ceiling Trusses, Rafters and Deck Cleaning

Combustible dust, packaging dust and general manufacturing oils and debris accumulate in ceiling trusses, rafters and on the decking. Dry ice blasting cleaned over 20,000 square feet in just several days during shutdown, with cleanup involving sweeping the debris into trash cans.

  • Food Wrapping Equipment

Cleaning wrapping line without any tear down needed, removed paper and packaging residue from conveyors and motors. This is routine maintenance work that is conducted annually.

  • Gummy Mold Cleaning

Dry ice rapidly and completely cleans multiple automated molds for gummy production by leading manufacturers of vitamins. Water is not an option due to corn starch powder used in the molding process.
